The History of Downforce
"Fusing aesthetics and ergonomics" - Downforce Clothing
Downforce was founded in 2007 by Stuart Pattison and Blake Moorhouse in Durban, South Africa. It started as a small business idea between two friends. Stuart Pattison, an aspiring entrepreneur and current Psychology student from Rhodes, passionate about starting a successful business and Blake Moorhouse, a Creative Designer with a passion for creating cutting edge designs. They both shared a common goal. To create a clothing brand centred and fused around two obvious but previously under-rated concepts, "aesthetics" and "ergonomics". After 4 years of pipeline dreams, research and development, Downforce Clothing was a reality. Downforce Clothing started out sponsoring small events and supporting local teams like the SA WIRE Downforce Touch Team and local South African talent such as Dan Willis and Phil Norton. Downforce is now one of South Africas hottest up and coming concept apparel companies.
